  1. This is my second time staying at this hotel.

Service: The front desk staff were amazing! Upon check-in, they provided us with a cold towel, which was a nice touch. They were very friendly and escorted us to our room, where they served us warm herbal tea. It was a delightful experience.

Room-wise: The bed was nice and cozy, and they even provided me with hard pillows when I requested them. The furniture had a charming antique style, reminiscent of an old mansion. I particularly loved the wooden flooring in the room. The bathroom was equipped with a relaxing bathtub, and at night, we had a nice view of Morten village and boats strolling along the river.

Breakfast: We initially thought it would be a buffet, but to our surprise, they served breakfast to our table with a few options. The food was delicious and scrumptious.

Areas for improvement: The soundproofing in the room could be better, as we could hear noises from outside. Additionally, the curtains in the room were not blackout curtains.

  2. It is a nostalgic hotel until the next room decides to take a bath at 11 pm and the running water noise makes sleeping impossible. Telephone system does not work and requires a walk to the reception desk. WiFi is weak and breakfast is mediocre.

We had a wonderful massage at the spa. Since we were the last appointment, we were asked to leave our rest after a very short period.

Friendly staff but the quality of the stay could be better.

  3. The Majestic Malacca offers a charming colonial vibe with beautifully decorated rooms, making it a unique and elegant stay. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, and the water pressure in the bathrooms is great.

However, the facilities are quite limited considering the price point. There’s a small 24-hour gym, a compact pool, and a library – not ideal for families with kids or larger groups. Additionally, the drop-off area lacks a proper sheltered foyer, which can be inconvenient during rainy weather. The open-space car park also leaves vehicles exposed to the sun and rain.

While the overall experience is pleasant, the rooms could benefit from some modernization, and the limited facilities might not justify the higher cost for some guests.

    p/s super comfy bed

  4. Lovely old world styled hotel. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Continental breakfast of fresh croissants and pastries also included western styled selections and local dishes. After walking about in the city, we came back to the hotel for High Tea. We were not impressed with the flavors and quality of the food, especially not at RM 75 per person; better to walk out and eat the local foods.

  5. This is hands down one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are lovely, and every single person working, starting with the GM, are genuinely warm and friendly. It is an absolutely fantastic and lovely experience. 5 stars! Highly recommend!
