My two stays at the Royal Hotel Bukit Bintang, first for two nights and then four, were a mixed bag. While the staff were friendly and even upgraded my room, recurring issues with a blocked shower and a malfunctioning TV were frustrating. On the plus side, the hotel boasts a nice, refreshing pool, a well-maintained gym, as well as a good buffet breakfast.
Its location in the heart of Bukit Bintang is unbeatable, putting you in the middle of all the action. Despite the maintenance problems, the prime location and good facilities make the Royal Hotel a decent choice, though I hope they address the bathroom issues for future guests.
Location is the best thing about this hotel. Minutes walking from everything which is really convenient.
Cleanliness wise its ok. At least no bugs but you’ll see hair and stuff on the carpet and mirrors. The water turns brown. Don’t walk barefoot on the carpet.
Breakfast is not worth it at all. It’s very basic and dry. A lot of places nearby to eat at for cheaper even.
Staff is nice but very slow. It takes forever to check in and put the bags aside. Like for reals. 20 minutes at least.
Location is the main perks of this hotel. Room is good too, really spacious for 2 adults. Cleanliness is fine, though we can still smell traces of smoke in the room corridor. Service and breakfast were decent.
I recently stayed at Hotel Royal in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur, and the location was absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the most happening area, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The room was very nice and the rates were quite reasonable, offering good value for money.
However, the hospitality could use some improvement. We faced challenges convincing the staff to store our luggage for two days after checkout. When we returned to collect the bags, the staff engaged in an unnecessary discussion, claiming they kept the bags thinking we would check in again, which was never mentioned during the initial conversation.
Overall, while the location and rooms are great, the service experience could be smoother.
I had decided to stay here 3nights, the location was great, close to many shopping areas, the breakfast was okay, loved the butter that they prepared. The problem is only the wifi connection, often losing the connection, and not super great speed. But, I can say that as a 4-star hotel, at least the guest service should be more friendly and helpful, since the day I checked in until the check out the staff just lacked a smile. I can say only the bellboy ( forgot his name ) was the only one who was very friendly and helpful. The others were just so-so. I stayed for my birthday but not much special thing happened like other hotels did. Maybe I will come back, and hope their guest service is improved. Thank you
