Great location, super easy walk to the Pavilion and KLCC! Breakfast was not bad; a good variety of dishes to choose from. Staff at the front desk were friendly. I’m traveling solo and got a free upgrade from Superior Twin plus to a king-sized bed and enjoyed it. I also had the most amazing massage at the spa.
However, for its 4-star hotel rating, I was most disappointed w/the room condition. Though clean, it’s dark and feels a bit dated. Bathroom had a few issues: 1) The sinks water pressure is def too high 2) Shower doesn’t drain properly.. flooded during shower 3) Shower water gets TOO hot, then cold randomly. And at last, minus points because no one answered the phone when I tried to call for “24 hours” dine in room service at 10pm. I also heard some guest shrieking from maybe floors above? In the morning I could hear housekeeping ruffling noises while changing trash bags for close by rooms.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend.
Everything was amazing except for one experience. Not fair to give less than 5 star just due to that.

The spoiler was Cedar. We wanted to get our complimentary drinks. Not only they were unwelcoming, it was borderline rude. Perhaps they thought it’s free. We were supposed to have dinner there that night, decided to cancel our reservation and we ate elsewhere. No point giving business to these kind of business.
Cedar nearly spoilt it for Impiana. But unfair to judge them based on that alone.
We will be back to Impiana. But not to Cedar.
We’ve visited this hotel twice this year and somehow the experience was still average, or at least slightly below than average.
The room key card was A HASSLE. Like why did we have to touch the scanner several times in order to access to our floor room in the lift?. And we’ve asked the concierge staffs multiple times and though they helped us, the problem seemed to continue. It had consumed my time by having to change lifts .
The Club Lounge was decent, and they had several options of food and drinks. We really had a comfortable time enjoying our breakfast and dinner there.
The staffs were cordial and helpful and I love the omelette made by one of your chefs in Club Lounge.
The room wasn’t that bad, but I think you guys did not provide soap. Cut costing perhaps? Please maintain your standards without compromising the quality.

I’ve been a loyal patron of Impiana KLCC Hotel for years, returning annually to celebrate our anniversary and Comic Fiesta. Unfortunately, the experiences of the past two years have been nothing short of disappointing, and it’s safe to say that this will be our final stay.
In previous years, we never faced any issues bringing our child to the lounge. However, last year, the manager made a huge fuss about it, rudely telling us that no kids were allowed. When we raised our concern, it was clear that there was no consideration for families, and the hotel didn’t offer any alternatives like a nursery. We complained, and Mr. Sugu, the former Operations Director, acknowledged the mistake and apologized, assuring us this wouldn’t happen again.
This year, despite confirming with the front desk beforehand, we faced the same issue—only worse. The staff treated us like second-class guests, making a scene while foreigners in casual attire—some wearing slippers and talking loudly—were not even addressed for violating the lounge’s “rules.” The double standard was glaring, and it’s clear that the service is now miles away from what it used to be.
To make matters worse, my wife was embarrassed in front of our friends, who we had recommended stay at the hotel, based on our previous experiences. We’ve always loved Impiana KLCC and even convinced many people to stay here over the years. But after this, it’s no longer the place we once adored. The service has sunk to a level we never thought we’d experience here.
If you have kids, I strongly advise you to avoid this hotel. The service, particularly in the lounge, has deteriorated significantly, and the treatment of guests—especially families—has been downright appalling. We won’t be returning.
In the heart of the city this hotel offered a brilliant experience. Nice view, facilities and amenities. Customer service was brilliant held on to my luggages whenever I moved around. Cozy environment and was close to most sights in KL. Highly recommended!
