I want to say that the service at this hotel is excellent. My husband and I held our wedding here, and every guest commented on how delicious the food was. On the day of the wedding, Chef Loon even came out to greet us—it was such a pleasant surprise!
In addition, the staff who served us were all very professional. They tried their best to accommodate all our requests, especially Zam, who was incredibly responsible. Both my husband and I couldn’t praise him enough.
Later, we received a complimentary one-night stay, which we postponed for two weeks before checking in. The room was beautifully designed and filled with thoughtful touches. They even included breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options and suited our Asian taste perfectly.
Overall, choosing this hotel is definitely the right choice. Its central location also makes it convenient for tourists to visit. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 2 nights using point redemption (23,500 points for 2 nights plus tax). The location is unbeatable! It is a RM 5 grab ride to the major food spots in George Town and Island Hospital! It has a nice hotel feel – the 11th floor pool and gym area is super nice. We would stay here if we come to Penang again. The room was as expected for a Courtyard – adequate size and clean.
Stayed for 3 nights in the Courtyard Penang. Have to say that this place is in a pretty good location you do get pretty good food stalls at night within 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Quite far from the airport but is pretty much considered the central of Georgetown. Check in was a breeze but too bad they didn’t have rooms to upgrade me. The rooms were quite modern and decent, just that the view was pretty restricted as I was facing another building next to the hotel.
Did a tour around to check out the facilities. Decent pool with a small gym with minimal equipment. The upstairs Gin Library looks pretty swanky it’s worth checking it out. It’s on the top floor and has pretty good views of the city. The men’s bathroom on the pool level also had steamroom and sauna, wanted to use but didn’t have the time for it.
The breakfast was okay, more on the average side, would be better if they had more variety of items.
The things I liked about this hotel is that the service is pretty top notch. I called the front desk and requested for a few bottles of water and they are sent up all within 5 minutes. It happened everytime I requested for something.
Lastly the location is pretty central so I literally walked most of the time out for my meals and saved money on grab. If you are willing to walk you can reach a lot of the popular food stalls, restaurants and cafes on foot within 20 minutes.
Quite an enjoyable stay and recommended.
Ashik, our room attendant had provided us an impeccable service during our stay from 17-20 Jan 2025. Where possible, I highly recommend the hotel mid/management to provide him an incentive to keep him motivated and his loyalty to your company.
Staff suggested that guests stay at Marriott Penang instead due to the lack of an executive lounge for Bonvoy Titanium members. The fruit basket provided was mouldy. Despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign, staff entered my room – so be sure to lock up your belongings before leaving.
