Nice clean rooms which seem like they are well kept. It’s in a quiet area so we got really good sleep, comfy beds and the AC was great.
I only had 2 issues with this place, first during check in the reception wanted to give is a double room while we had booked for a twin room (for me and my friend). Only after complaining then he said he’d upgrade us to a twin room with a sofa which was available.
The other thing is you won’t miss a thing think if you skipped breakfast. The food was not good at all.
This year, I stayed twice at the Holiday Inn Express KL: first in April and then again recently. On both occasions, I stayed in the 25m² Twin Room. During my April visit, the check-in process was handled by professional staff, and my stay was smooth and pleasant. This time, I arrived from the airport expecting a similar experience. However, this visit exceeded my expectations, particularly because of the staff member who checked us in. She greeted us warmly, and I wish I knew her name to mention here, as she truly deserves recognition for her exceptional service.
This staff member noted that it was my second stay at Holiday Inn Express KL this year, and as a thoughtful welcome-back gesture, she upgraded my original booking from the 18m² Twin Room to a larger 25m² room on a higher floor. She was both professional and attentive, taking the time to ask about my plans for the week and the places I wanted to explore. It’s rare to encounter such intelligent, considerate individuals who genuinely make an effort to enhance your experience, making me feel like more than just another guest – a rarity in such busy hotels.
One major plus at Holiday Inn Express is the included breakfast, which offers a real treat with fresh options daily – from pastries and eggs to local specialties.
I wouldn’t think twice about returning here on my next visit to KL. As a frequent traveler, I’ve come to value certain standards, and having also stayed at other Holiday Inn properties in Bangkok and Dubai, I appreciate the Holiday Inn brand for consistently delivering welcoming, clean, safe, and comfortable accommodations.
A nice hotel in the city center. Walking distance to many activities in the center of the city. Room was small, bathroom even smaller. Free breakfast was fairly nice. The room was very warm and the thermostat in the closet was turned off when we checked in. It took a while for the room to cool down. We travel here in the rainy season so I imagine it would be even hotter in the hot summer season.
I’ve stay here for 2 nights and booked for Standard Queen room due to my work schedule. It’s a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Express.
Room : The room was quite small but it doesn’t bother me because it’s look like in an express train bunk room, special for the solo traveller like me. Room was super clean and cozy, amenities was tip top and I love the shampoo, shower gel & hand soap, they using Dove brand and the smell was good (hopefully can bring back home hahaha…). The only thing that makes me quite upset is the room telephone was not working, sometimes is not convenient to go to lobby always for any request or assistance. Hopefully the management can settle this matter so it not happen in future.
Service : The staff was super friendly and welcoming with a warm smile especially the receptionist Mr Hafiz, he is very polite and helpful throughout the check in and check out. Breakfast was free and full of delicacies, it also comes with grab and go as well. They have a self service check in / check out machine, very convenient. In the lobby also have 2 PCs that can browse the internet and it’s free for hotel guests. They also have 24 hours gym & self service laundry room. Parking was free for hotel guests.
Location : Location was very convenient as it was near Bukit Bintang area, beside the hotel has ZUS coffee, Family Mart, McDonald & supermarket. If you are in the night life or food hunting, this place is suitable for you as it was 8 minutes walk to Changkat Bukit Bintang and 12 minutes walk to Alor Street. Public transportation was easy to get, 3 minutes walk to Monorail station and just cross the street can catch the GoKL purple lane bus to go Bukit Bintang or Chinatown. You can also go to KL Tower by just walking distance.
Overall I do enjoy my stay here and the price was reasonable that comes with breakfast. My rating score will be 10/10. Will I come back again? Yes and fully recommend.
Strategic location and few minutes walk to Bukit Bintang, Jalan Alor and a few minutes drive to KLCC and KL Tower and major attractions. Our room was quite comfortable and the views from the 18th floor were amazing. A big thanks to Mr Hasan for his amazing service and hospitality. There are both pros and cons about this hotel, the building itself is quite old and outdated so few things may seem like it. The washroom requires renovation and fixing, however the bed was super comfy and our overall stay was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was a bit disappointing with the same menu everyday with no variation whatsoever, but the bakery section was what I looked forward to everyday so that covered up for me. Overall a pleasant experience, would recommend.
