1) The buildings are aged. Design is from 90s. The kids club is looking old and dark.
2) The staffs are not smiling. Have no interest to start conversation with the guests.
3) The taste of the food is only so so.
4) Ordered bell service to check out but after 30min still no sign. I walked down myself but I do see many bell staffs / concierge guys standing around. The Indian lady holding the talkie seems very unorganized though she kept apologizing.
5) They don’t clean the beach. There is litter everywhere. The staffs in charge of taking the chairs away at 7pm are very rude and bold. No please or smile.
Overall, it has nothing to do with luxury or Shangri-La standard. I would say it’s comfortable and convenient.
This is my Second visit with my family. The room/packages booking was easy through website. We took the superior family combo room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Room was spacious and kids enjoy their room with tent and the bunk bed. However the room design are old and the toilet floor flooded with water from shower and the package only cover for two adult breakfast. Kids enjoyed the adventure room and pool area with slides. But its too crowded and our food was wasted by crows/pigeon or monitor lizard since nobody look after it while we playing at pool area. Sadly the beach is not suitable for visit due to errosion.
Such a nice place to stay w your family plus the room is very comfortable and clean. It is very kid friendly. Have variety choices of food which is worth every penny to stay here. Hopefully the good service provided by the staff will be maintain. They also provide a wish card and a slice of cake for our anniversary upon request. Surely will come again
While I have stayed here ample times, the service of this place is appalling. They will change your booking without informing you and tell you to just accept it and they will try to change it when they can or next day. We were suddenly informed on so many changes and additions upon check in when we were already in talks with them via email weeks before check in but they failed to mention anything. Their tardiness in communication is definitely a turn off and it really shows. Even though they apologised, its unacceptable for them to do change people’s room when we payed and booked for a specific one. Wouldn’t be visiting this place again, will be saving my headache because there are many other hotels in this area that could serve you better.
We were extremely disappointed with the beach. It was non-existent. You can only see sandbags! However, the morning breakfast was excellent! The resort is also very thoughtful to put a coway water dispenser to keep everyone hydrated. If you want water slides, a proper beach, nice rooms and good breakfast do consider parkroyal or hard rock.
