  1. We had the unique honor of being the very first guests to check-in during their soft launch on 3 February 2025, marking a shared historical moment with The Millen Penang. The check-in service was exceptionally personal and friendly, and being the inaugural guests, we were warmly welcomed by the Management team.

    As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we received an upgrade to the Loft Suite with an incredible sea view facing Gurney Drive. The room was beautifully decorated with rose-strewn love swans made from bath towels, accompanied by a bottle of white wine and a stunning bouquet. The bathtub with the seaview makes all the difference to create wonderful memories. What a thoughtful touch!

    Despite being dressed down for comfortable holiday travel, which didn’t quite match the warm reception and farewell orchestrated by a suited professional management team, they took it all in stride, and what a warm reception it had been.

    Throughout our stay, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff and management whenever we met, making us feel truly special. Reminds me of the 80’s sitcom, Cheers, with the memorable line from their theme song, “sometimes you want to go where everyone knows your name and they’re always glad you came.” I hope they manage to stay that way and really differentiate themselves.

    We received fantastic tips for visiting local sites – visiting Chew Jetty on the eve of the 9th Day of CNY was an unforgettable experience – Penangites really know how to party!. Thank you, Raymond, for this wonderful tip.

    The hotel is exquisitely appointed, and it was wonderful to see their commitment to creating a personalized space for discerning guests in line with their brand.

    As a parting gift, we received two beautiful and ultra-comfortable bathrobes used in the hotel. For disclosure, we were already checking online if we could purchase similar ones, so you can imagine our delight to be presented with those robes.

    As it was a soft launch, we understood that some minor issues needed to be ironed out, but we were still very happy with the overall experience. We are confident that once they fully open their doors, it will be an extraordinary experience, and we look forward to our next visit!

  2. The dishes were quite nice, but I would have preferred the chicken to be a bit spicier. A staff member named Farihin, if I’m not mistaken, from the maintenance department, introduced us to the hotel and was an excellent guide. The ambience in this hotel is excellent. We enjoyed our lunch here and will definitely come again.
