I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Prestige Hotel Penang for a quick one-night visit, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the blend of modern design and heritage charm caught my attention.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is centrally located in George Town, making it easy to explore the nearby UNESCO-listed heritage sites, cafes, and street art.
Service: The staff were welcoming and attentive, offering quick check-in and check-out service.
Room: The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a stylish design. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was well-equipped with high-quality amenities.
Facilities: The hotel offers a beautiful rooftop pool with fantastic views, perfect for a relaxing evening. The gym was well-maintained, and there was a cozy lounge area.
Value for money: For a short stay, it offered great value for the price.
Cons:
Parking could be a bit tricky during peak times, but the hotel staff helped with valet service, so it wasn’t much of a hassle.

First timer to Malaysia & Penang and I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel experience. The staff were all accommodating, helpful and lovely. The room was chic and clean. The demand at breakfast time was high but the staff were trying their best. My feedback are: the relatively thin door, and maybe a good shutting mechanism will help ease the closing; and The Glass Room is a bit too small for the high breakfast traffic. Overall, great experience. Thank you The Prestige Hotel and I definitely will come back.
Amazing from beginning to end. I cannot say enough about the staff from the Managers to the wait staff to the bell staff and room cleaners. Everyone is gracious, charming and go out of their way to make you feel at home! The room was large and comfortable, with a huge shower! Thank you for ensuring we had such a lovely stay.
We had an amazing stay here over New Year. The staff could not be more helpful and the rooms were amazing.
The rooftop pool and sunbathing area was brilliant for relaxing after a day exploring.
My only feedback…the hotel tried to give us all balloons with strings attached to release at midnight, we did not partake as it doesn’t really sit with the hotel or public ethos of reducing plastic waste. Especially as they have filtered water in every room to avoid single use plastic! Something to consider for future events!
Had a fabulous stay here for 3 nights. For the price – this is a really good deal. The rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely big king size beds with nice linen. All the room amenities are perfect and if you book deluxe or exec you get complimentary minibar – which is a rare bonus. Even has a couple of beers in the fridge. The roof top pool is lovely with a bar that opens in the afternoon. The hotel is a short walk all from all the best spots of Penang. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks guys for a great stay
