  1. Definitely a must visit when in Penang. A wonderful experience for kids and adults as well. There are many butterflies roaming freely inside the spherical dome. There are also other animals like spiders, frogs, lizards, ducks, snakes which are in enclosures.

There are also 8 other indoor, very futuristic exhibits within the premises that showcase forests, caves, life cycle of butterfly etc. Make sure to visit them as these are located separately from the outdoor butterfly area.

There is also a cafe/restaurant and a souvenir shop.

If you are taking public transport, take the 101 or 102 bus from Georgetown. The last stop of the bus will be Escape bus-stop. The butterfly farm is just a 100m walk from there

  2. Purchase Tickets on the ticket counter is easy and quick. Toddler and senior citizens with discount. You can pay with CC.
There is no comparison with the KL private owned butterfly garden. I would suggest Entopia is a must visit site. Parking is free. Exhibitions are not just butterflies, they also include insects, reptiles, and Amphibians. The butterfly garden is a vast and open space, wheelchair accessible.
The only thing I hope is to see more butterfly variety in the future!

  3. Wonderful place! Beautiful verdant central area alive with fluttering butterflies. In the numerous winding corridors there are other insects & arthropods, amphibians & reptiles to see. I enjoyed having a large scorpion walking on my hand. Fabulous & fascinating. 6 out of 5.

  4. Definitely worth the visit, especially with young kids.

More than just butterfly’s with various other bugs, snakes, lizards, frogs, spiders and insects.

The main butterfly area was large and had great features compared to others that I have been to.

Kids loved it especially when the butterfly’s land on them.

  5. What an amazing place!
So many butterflies but so much more as well. A wide range of reptiles and insects are on display alongside the butterflies, as well as the most incredible information centre and photography exhibits. Definitely worth a visit.
