  5. A stroll through George Town’s historic Little India is a must. This compact area is laid out in a grid-like fashion, much like a miniature Manhattan, with four streets intersecting three avenues. Indian shops dominate the landscape, creating a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere.
Think of Lebuh China, Lebuh Pasar, and Lebuh Chulia as the avenues, while Queen Street, King Street, Penang Street, and Beach Street form the cross streets. This arrangement creates a neat 3×4 grid that’s easy to navigate.
Within this grid, you’ll find several notable landmarks. Be sure to visit the Little India Arcade, located at the bustling intersection of Lebuh Pasar and Beach Street. Also, don’t miss the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple on Queen Street, conveniently close to Lebuh Chulia.
